REVIEW: ELF eyebrow TREAT&TAME

ELF eyebrow TREAT&TAME  $3.00 USA is part of my WEEKLY REVIEW

ELF IS NOT available in CANADA in STORES, BUT is available ONLINE. The SHIPPING is around $14.95CAD to CANADA

Most items on the site vary from $1CAD~$15 CAD I usually order on BLACK FRIDAY where there is EVERYTHING is HALF OFF (UP TO $100 of savings)

THIS one is in the colour DEEP(#81205)
(This product comes in a TOTAL of 5 SHADES)
  • The product is DOUBLE ENDED
  • The TOP RIGHT shows the EYEBROW BRUSH/"TAME" end brush has SHORT and SPIRALS DOWN in the SAME LENGTH
  • The other end is the "TREAT" end is a STRAIGHT brush, it IS somewhat flexible

The "TREAT" end is suppose to help with the RE-GROWTH of your eyebrow

PROS:
  • The colour is VERY PIGMENTED
  • The "TAME" brush has FIBRE like materials attached to it, making it easier for the formula to adhere to your eyebrow (even if you don't have a lot of hair)
  • The "TREAT" end acts as a BROW GEL
  • The colour WILL NOT rub off once it is DRY
  • DOES NOT dry out/ or make your eyebrows "crispy"
CONS:
  • The product can get GOUPY at the END of the "TAME" brush
OVERALL: I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this product to EVERYONE!!! There is enough colour selection that I think everyone will be able to find their own brow shade. The product WORKS BEST if you BRUSH through your brows AFTER.

I would this RECOMMEND this EVEN to BEGINNERS. I would probably say that it will WORK BETTER if you already have some eyebrow hairs to work with, as the formula sticks to HAIR better. It still DOES FILL in the areas where you LACK HAIR.

This is a PERFECT product for those days when you don't want to take the time (in my case I just lack the skills) to DRAW your brow and FILL them in neatly with a powder product.

I have the Benefit Gimme Brow ($26CAD) AND the SEVERAL ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS (anywhere from $20~60CAD) and I REACH for this product A LOT more often. It is sooo much easier to use and you CAN NOT BEAT the price ($3)

REVIEW: RIMMELSHOW OFF LIP LACQURER

RIMMEL SHOW OFF LIP LACQUER

THESE first came out in the UK as the RIMMEL Apocalips. There are a total of 13 SHADES.

THEY are around $7.99-$9.99 CAD (I have seen them on SALE at various DRUGSTORE for $3.99)

HERE are the 5 shades I will review
            FROM TOP:
  1. 101 CELESTIAL
  2. 102 NOVA
  3. 401 AURORA
  4. 303 APOCALIPTIC
  5. 400 BIG BANG

TOP LEFT: 101 CELESTIAL

TOP RIGHT:102 NOVA

CENTER: 400 BIG BANG

BOTTOM LEFT:401 AURORA

BOTTOM RIGHT:303 APOCALIPTIC

The APPLICATOR has a DENT, which stores a deposit of the product, allowing ONE simple application (no need to re-dip your applicator for application)

The applicator is VERY SOFT

These lip lacquers are EXTREMELY PIGMENTED. Here is 400 BIG BANG swatched on my lips.

  • I DID NOT put lip balms on before hand
  • I DID NOT use a lip liner
  • I DID NOT RE-APPLY
  • No LIP GLOSS/BALM
  • I DID NOT APPLY LIP BALM throughout the day

ONCE you GENTLY PAT your lips, THERE WILL BE BARELY ANY transfers.

DRIES to a MATT finish, DOES NOT feel overly drying

DOES NOT feather

The COLOR DID NOT fade at all throughout the day (around 6 hours) and transfer was minimal.

PROS:
  • PIGMENTED
  • Many shades
  • DOES NOT dry lips
  • Minimal Scent- IS NOT SWEET
CONS:
  • If you DO NOT put on a lip balm beforehand, the color will remain in the wrinkles of your lips
  • Certain colors will stain a little  (THE BRIGHT COLORS)
OVERALL:  I would 100% recommend this product. I found it felt better on my lips, if I PUT LIP BALMS BEFORE I applied the product. I like the product without any gloss, but adding LIP BALM throughout the day does help- Especially if you are NOT used to drier lip products.

I can't wait to hoard buy the other shades!!! TELL ME if this product worked for you?

FAVORITE MAKEUP REMOVER

When I am looking for a eye makeup remover, I look ONLY for one's that claim to remove WATERPROOF mascara....as the majority of my mascara's are waterproof.

I have tried both high end (Lancome, Sephora, Cliniqe ..etc) and drugstore/affordable options. My current favourite makeup removers are from MARCELLE and MARY KAY

MARCELLE gentle make-up remover for sensitive eyes (perfume free/hypoallergenic)

WHERE TO PURCHASE: Shopper's Drugmart/ Walmart/ Rexall PharmaPlus  or from their ONLINE store (free shipping for CANADA!!, UNFORTUNATELY they do not seem to sell the 200ML size online)

Ranges from $10~$13(Walmart/Shopper's Drugmart will frequently have sales, I have also seem them in packs- where you get a full size PLUS a travel size)

CLAIM

  • Removes WATERPROOF and LONG LASTING makeup
  • Smoothes and refreshens the eye contour area
PROS:

  • DOES remove WATERPROOF eye makeup
Used ESSENCE LIQUID EYELINER (WATERPROOF) The liner (in my opinion is VERY WATER/SMUDGE proof)
After gently PRESSING for about 5 seconds, it will EASILY wipe away
  • Does NOT leave oily residue

  • Does NOT leave oily residue on CONTACT lenses (I know I should probably take out my contacts first, but I have used it with my contacts in, even when it gets in my eyes it DOES NOT leave any residue on my CONTACTS)

  • Does NOT sting eyes
CONS:

  • $10~$13 Is a little expensive for a drugstore product
OVERALL: Would recommend to EVERYONE! Though it is a little expensive for a drugstore product, it does last a long time (NOTE- I ONLY use it to remove eye makeup). THUMBS UP for no oily residue!

MARY KAY oil free makeup remover

WHERE TO PURCHASE: Unfortunately I do not believe any CHAIN drugstores carries MARY KAY. It can be purchased from

  • MARY KAY representative: Personally this is where I have always purchased mine from. My friends and I will make a order together (if you order OVER a certain $$AMOUNT$$, you can receive discounts- I have gotten BUY1 GET ONE HALF).

PROS:

  • DOES remove waterproof makeup well

Also used ESSENCE LIQUID EYELINER (WATERPROOF)

After gently PRESSING for about 5 seconds, it will EASILY wipe away

  • It is recommended for DRY to OILY skin, but it DOES NOT feel oily or drying.
  • DOES NOT STING eyes
  • DOES NOT leave oily residue on CONTACTS
CONS:

  • The price tag ($17.50 CAD for 110ml/3.75FL OZ) is a little expensive
OVERALL: I would recommend it to EVERYONE. Though I don't think I have the MOST sensitive eyes, I do wear contacts, and it is important that it does not sting my eyes or leave residues on my contacts (IT DOESN"T).

IF I had to COMPARE, I would say the MARCELLE one is slightly better in terms of oiliness(the MARCELLE is LESS oily formula wise). BUT if you do get a chance to try out/ order MARY KAY products definitely put this in your basket!!!

THANKS for READING! COMMENT below if you have tried it...OR YOU have other recommendations!!!

FAVORITE liquid eyeliner

I use liquid eyeliner on a daily bases (I can never get the hang of GEL eyeliner). My CURRENT favourite liquid eyeliner is the ESSENCE (WATERPROOF) LIQUID EYELINER, I have never tried the non waterproof version, but even so I have NEVER really read any reviews/videos on this particular eyeliner.

DRIES MATT (Sorry for the blurry image, I will work on it)
**I RAN HOT WATER over this swatch and lightly patted it with a towel**
  1. WHERE TO BUY: I have only found ESSENCE products at SHOPPER's DRUG MART in CANADA (If you know where else to buy the brand from in CANADA, please please COMMENT below) $1.99-$3.99 CAD (It goes on sale sometimes)

PROS:
  • SUPER WATERPROOF ...once it DRIES(I have taken showers/gone swimming and NOT a budge)
  • DOES NOT smudge/flake ONCE it DRIES (**I have semi oily eyelids**)
  • Flexible brush but NOT flimsy- I am NOT a pro when it comes to applying eyeliner, but I found this is JUST FLEXIBLE ENOUGH that even with a shaky hand I can draw a good enough line.
  • Has a FINER tip, so you can control the thickness.
  • INEXPENSIVE (BELOW $4)

CONS:

  • Will smudge IF YOU DO NOT WAIT FOR IT TO DRY
  • NOT recommended for drier lids (I recommended it to a friend with drier lid once...and it flaked on her

  • Once it gets old, you will find that colour is not as opaque- It usually lasts me 2~3 months (I throw it out after that for hygiene reasons)
OVERALL:

  • I really would recommend it to EVERYONE (it's below $4!!!), but especially to girls with oilier eyelids, and to be honest girls with mono-lids .....as it decreases the chance of it smudging. (My RIGHT eyelid is mono lid....and because I do not have the crease....when I close my eyes it does NOT SMUDGE)
If you have a chance to try it COMMENT below on how it worked for you!
