REVIEW: Essence Lipstick #53 All About Cupcake

I decided to review this particular shade of Essence Lipstick as a part of my WEEKLY REVIEW 3-24-2014

Essence Cosmetics is available in Canada at SHOPPER's DRUGMART, this particular product was $2.99CAD

For comparison purposes I added another shade from the collection

PROS:
  • Very creamy/ Almost like a lip BALM consistency
  • Not drying
  • The colour can be BUILT up
CONS:
  • The pigmentation VARIOUS from SHADE to SHADE
  • Sweet Vanilla smell (very much a personal preference)
OVERALL: As you can see in the picture, shade #53 is NOT as pigmented as #50..BUT personally if I swipe it TWICE it DOES show up on MY LIPS.

To conclude I WOULD RECOMMEND this product, ESPECIALLY if your lips are a lighter colour (my lips are darker and very PIGMENTED to begin with ).

REVIEW: Hard Candy Glamoflauge Lite

Hard Candy Glamoflauge Lite is part of Hard Candy's release of new products

The "Glamoflauge" is a KNOWN HEAVY DUTY Hard Candy concealer. This particular product is suppose to be a "LITE" version of that
I am reviewing in as a part of my WEEKLY REVIEW 3/24/2014I purchased mine at my local WALMART for $5.98CAD

On the product it says "A multitasking correcting &correcting stick with two shades for a seamless, even complexion....ONE SIDE corrects blemishes undertone and the OTHER conceals blemish with matching skin tone"

The product is DOUBLE ENDED one side seem to be of a LIGHTER COLOUR (I believe to correct the blemishes undertone) and the OTHER SIDE is the actual shade of your skin

The corrector seems to have a PINKY/SALMON undertone, which WOULD be good for your under eyes...but it was TOO DRY for me

PROS:
  • Will conceal blemishes- MED~HEAVY coverage
CONS:
  • Is NOT very creamy
  • HARD to BLEND
  • Is DRYING
OVERALL: I would NOT recommend this product. Though the coverage is ver nice, the formula is NOT CREAMY ENOUGH and I found it HARD TO BLEND into my skin. This formula was also VER DRYING (I have combo-oily skin ...and it STILL dried my skin). I feel like it really gave me a "CAKEY" look. I would say TRY the ORIGINAL GLAMOFLAUGE instead!

REVIEW: Hard Candy Sheer Envy Dark Spot Correcting PRIMER

This product is part of HARD CANDY's NEW "Sheer Envy Primer" collection and part of my WEEKLY REVIEW 3/24/2014

I found this at my local WALMART for $7.98CAD

As you can see from the BOTTOM RIGHT picture, it does contain a very very very fine shimmer- Seen against the black cap

PROS:
  • The product DOES contain VERY TINY shimmers (in the light you can tell that it has tiny tiny pinky toned shimmer) WHICH does ADD a brightness (BOTTOM RIGHT picture)
  • Very SMOOTH texture -very much like a moisturizer
  • Does NOT make your face OILY/Does not CLING to dry patches
  • Does not have a perfume scent
CONS:
  • The product advertises to "diminish skin's imperfections" Which I did not notice.
OVERALL: I would RECOMMEND it IF you are looking for a PRIMER to BRIGHTEN your face. I DID NOT think it diminished my skin's imperfections...BUT the TEXTURE was VERY NICE and it DID NOT dry out my skin (as most primers tend to do).

REVIEW: Hard Candy Eyes the Limit eyeshadow primer

This product was recently introduced to the HARD CANDY line, which is available at WALMART in Canada.

I purchased mine for $4.98CAD and will be reviewing it as a part of my WEEKLY REVIEW 3/24/2014

  • Is very opaque, but the colour will disappear after blending
  • Has a SILICON feel
  • A TINY bit will go a LONG WAY
PROS:
  • Will cover up any eye lid dis-coloration
  • Blends in nicely
  • Will ENHANCE eyeshadow colours
  • Will KEEP your eyeshadow CREASE FREE (I had mine for about 6 hours)
CONS:
  • If you have VERY VERY oily lids, the product might slide around
OVERALL: I would 100% RECOMMEND this product. I have tried many drugstore and high end eyeshadow primers, but I really do think this is in my TOP 3. A tiny amount will go a long way, so this product is going to last you a LONG TIME.

I found the formula was thicker than some of the high end eyeshadow primers (Too Faced, Urban Decay..etc) which was GREAT for covering up discolouration on my eyelid. AND it made the eyeshadow colours POP.

If you find this product I suggest you GO PURCHASE IT!!!!

Review: Cover Girl Flamed Up MEGA CURL

Cover Girl Flamed Up MEGA CURL is part my my WEEKLY REVIEW 3/24/2014 I purchased mine at WALMART for $5.89CAD

This mascara is the second one in the FLAMED UP mascara by Cover Girl

The BIGGEST difference between the two mascara is the BRUSH
The brush from the MEGA CURL is CURVED
The brush TAPERS down

HERE are my lashes WITHOUT any products

Lashes with ONE COAT of mascara and CURLED
PROS:
  • Will add LENGTH
  • Does NOT Smudge/Flake
CONS:
  • Will NOT keep CURLS
  • Will CLUMP
  • Did NOT add volume (just clumped my lashes together)
OVERALL: I would ONLY recommend it to someone who is looking JUST for LENGTHENING. I found that the formula CLUMPED and DID not keep my eyelashes CURLED
(Please REMEMBER that MY LASHES are different from yours...and they will usually NOT stay CURLED unless I use a WATERPROOF formula)
